TPN is committed to the confidentiality and protection of your personal data. Therefore, we comply with applicable data privacy legislation in regard to processing personal data.
Your information.
We only use personal data for the specific purpose of sending TPN-related emails, invitations, newsletters, and event updates. TPN will use your personal data only for the purposes for which you have given permission.
All users can unsubscribe from our mailing lists through an ‘opt-out’ link which is available at the bottom of TPN email invitations.
If you choose to share any personal data with TPN via email, via our websites (tpnonline.org), or by other means, we may store that information so that we can keep you informed of future events and updates. This is usually limited to your name, title, affiliation, and email address. It may also include your office and mobile telephone number.
Your personal data may be transferred to other TPN offices, whether located in the European Union or in the United States, but only if you have provided your consent and only for TPN invitations and updates.
We will not share your personal information with third parties other than for the following purposes:
TPN uses a third party to process personal data on its behalf to send invitations and updates. This third party has been carefully chosen and is well known to the organisation. This third party is based in the USA and is EU-US Privacy Shield compliant. TPN also stores data for backup purposes on cloud-based services that are committed to fully complying with GDPR and high standards of security.
To avoid duplicate invitations to co-sponsored events, TPN may furthermore share your first name, last name, title, and affiliation with partner organisations. TPN will not share your e-mail address and/or phone number(s), or any other personal information.
No selling.
TPN will not sell, rent, trade, lease, or loan any personal information collected online or offline. All information is and will be kept confidential.
Security.
TPN uses secure data networks that are protected by firewall and password protection systems. They are consistent with industry standards. TPN’s security and privacy policies are periodically reviewed and enhanced as necessary.
Only authorized TPN staff have access to the information provided. TPN’s database is located in the European Union.
